5 WAYS TO COPE WITH STRESS

It has been almost 2 years and we’re still fighting COVID. Everyone struggle is different. Some are trying to find ways to have a meaningful life within this pandemic. Some are lost. It hits us in so many ways.

Let’s use this 5 tips to cope in our everyday life.

  1. FOLLOW A DAILY ROUTINE

Do come up with a plan for each day. Make clear boundaries between your working life and private life, especially if you’re working from home. Divide your day into small activities and take the time to do things you enjoy. Spending time with children or even pets.   1. EXERCISES

This is the time right now that you should put exercise on top of your routine. As most of us are staying at home, what better ways than to get all your muscles moving. Physical activity can do wonders for your mental health, especially when you’re feeling stressed.

WHO recommends 150min of moderate physical activity per week. That’s 15min a day! There’s a lot of online exercise class that you can join. Most of them are free and can be found on YouTube.

  1. SET LIMITS ON COVID-19 NEWS

Too much of information can be overwhelming and can leave you with so much stress or emotionally exhausted. Seeks information from trusted sources. Look for positive, uplifting stories that can boost your mood and wellbeing.

  1. LIMIT YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA

While it is one the medium to connect with others, it can also amplify anxiety and stress. Especially with unconfirmed information. So be careful on your social media consumption; consider turning off push notifications, unfollow or mute accounts that are triggering you.

  1. REACH OUT TO OTHERS

We are a social being and with that there’s a need for communication. Talk to someone, share you experiences, do things that make you feel connected. Friends and family members can be helpful to keep your stress level under control. Virtual meeting or video call would suffice.

We believe that this pandemic is giving a a time to reflect and learn more about ourselves and others. Have faith and believe that things will turn out ok.
